A free beginners’ course for seniors to safely make financial transactions online will be held at Narellan Library this April. The Tech Savvy Seniors – Introduction to Online Shopping course will show participants how to make purchases, bank and pay bills online.
“Modern technology makes it possible for you to do all of your errands quickly and easily without leaving your home, leaving you more time to do the things you enjoy,” said Mayor Lara Symkowiak. “The internet makes everything accessible and overcomes mobility issues and limited transport options,” Cr Symkowiak said. “With this course, participants will know how to monitor their banking, book a holiday, buy groceries, pay their bills and more,” she said. The course is designed to assist seniors who have limited or no experience in using technology.
It will be held 1pm-3pm, Monday 16 April at Narellan Library. Bookings are essential and can be made via the library website, www.library.camden.nsw.gov.au/bookings. Library staff can assist with booking online, phone 4645 5039.
Tech Savvy Seniors is a learning initiative provided in partnership with Telstra, the NSW State Government and State Library of NSW.
