This 6 week course is for any woman looking for some time to herself, a space for creative expression, to build confidence in art making, or wanting to explore what is going on in her life. Unlike an art class the focus is not on ‘pretty’ outcomes, but on raw, authentic expression – whatever you do will be the right thing for the moment and there is no competition or need for comparisons. We will explore materials and ideas together. You can’t get it wrong! This is a deeply supportive environment where you will not be critiqued or criticised.
– All processes are simple and suitable for beginners
– All art materials are provided
– The teacher, Jade, will explain and demonstrate how to use any new materials that you might not be familiar with
It won’t all be serious! Participants make new friends, enjoy having a laugh and find themselves creatively inspired through these groups.
Art therapy is for everyone – no special skills, interest in art making or experience required.
Jade is an art therapist and coach living in the Blue Mountains. Most of her work is in community mental health and women’s health. She loves creativity and making things, and sees it as an important part of a happy and healthy life.
This 6 week course starts Thursday the 29th of March.
$250 includes all materials, tuition and refreshments.
