May 25 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm$15
15-year-old Aaron Newham has recently been selected as 1 of 5 riders on the Australian pony club mounted games team that will be traveling to Colorado USA in July this year to compete at the International Mounted Games Championships. Mounted games are a fast action equestrian sport that involves good hand eye coordination, a high fitness level as well good horsemanship skills, adapting to different types of horses in a short period of time.
Aaron has been riding horses since he could walk and became a member of the Londonderry pony club at the age of 2. He enjoys all horse sports but has a passion for mounted games. He has taken out champion in Mounted games at Club, State and National Level.
Aaron has been working hard toward being part of the Australian team for the past 4 years, with his fair share of falls & injuries. Along with his parents, Aaron has travelled all over Australia to many competitions and championships. Traveling to America with the Australian team will be the first competition he attends alone due to the cost involved. “It is a great honour to be able to represent my country and have the chance to compete in the International championships” he says.
There will be a trivia night fundraiser on Saturday the 25th of May at North Richmond Panthers. They are looking for prize donations for a raffle as well as an auction.
If you can help by donating prizes or items, Aaron will display banners and announce your company throughout the night, as well as publish in the club’s newsletters. Any donations can be sent to 640 Londonderry Rd, Londonderry NSW 2753 or contact Aaron or his mum Michelle to arrange local pick up.
let Aaron know if you are interested in attending the trivia night.
