Jobs Fair

The Penrith Jobs Fair will bring together job seekers, employers, employment service providers and recruitment agencies from the Greater Western Sydney region.

The jobs fair will provide you with an opportunity to connect with businesses face-to-face to discuss jobs in more detail and learn about training, education and career options across the Penrith region. There will also be a number of job seeker workshops throughout the day to assist you in securing your next role.

Exhibitors will be available throughout the entire event to answer questions about the jobs on offer, so drop in any time between 09.30am and 3.30pm to have a chat.

12.00 pm – 12.30 pm Skills transfer – how to transfer your skills from one industry to another
Considering a change of careers, find out how to best utilise your existing skill-set to transfer smoothly from one industry to another.
12.40 pm – 1.10 pm Career Pathways
What’s your dream career? VET has great pathways. Talk to successful VET students and providers about ways to reach your goal.
1.20 pm – 1.50 pm How to improve your chances of getting a job
Find out information about employment industries in the Greater Western Sydney region and tips on how to improve your chances of getting a job.
2.00 pm – 2.30 pm Apprenticeships and traineeships panel – what employers are looking for?
Hear from employer and services providers who employ and recruit apprenticeship and traineeship positions in a facilitated panel. Find out what employers are looking for when recruiting for new apprentices and trainees, advice on resumes, interviews and your first day of employment.
2.40 pm – 3.10 pm Job seeking for mature age job seekers
Are you looking to re-enter the workforce after a career break or considering what’s next as a mature age job seeker? This session will provide information on services and programs available to assist you.

Transport

There will be a free shuttle bus from Kingswood train station to the Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre throughout the day. The first bus will depart Kingswood station at 9.30am, with all other departures approximately every 20 minutes. The last bus will depart Penrith Valley Regional Sports Centre to Kingswood station at 3.20 pm.

There is plenty of free parking available at the venue for those who are driving.
