\"Border\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has announced today that the New South Wales \/ Victoria border will close for travel in both directions from midnight tomorrow night. (Wednesday July 8)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The agreement between the Prime Minister, NSW Premier and VIC Premier
came about based on health advice on Monday July 6. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This comes after Victoria’s recent surge in community transmission COVID – 19 cases, forcing multiple postcodes into lockdown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We wouldn’t have taken this step unless we absolutely had to” said Berejiklian. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NSW Police will enforce the border closure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exceptions will be made to those who have filled out an online exemption form and had their travel circumstances accepted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
