
For some of us, it feels like a long time since bushfires devastated towns across multiple parts of NSW. But for the people whose lives were changed, their journey is ongoing. The Penrith Community Men’s Shed and Dural Men’s Shed are working together to collect much needed items for residents of the towns on the South Coast of NSW that were devastated by bushfires this summer as they continue to rebuild.
The items needed include:
- A Metal Lathe
- Strimmers
- Mowers
- Chainsaws
- Axes
- Steel rakes and Spades
- Any kind of tools (many people have lost sheds full of tools)
- Large outdoor plant pots
- Star pickets
- Picket drivers
- Fencing wire
- Ropes and pegs
- Long outdoor hoses with attachments.
- Quality industrial type vacuum cleaners
- Any spray painting equipment
- Buckets and mops
- Outdoor Working gloves – must be new
- Wellington boots (all sizes) – must be new
- Eskies
- Gas camping stove cans
- Adult size Sleeping bags
- Big plastic tubs with lids
- Dry Tarps ( preferably new)
- Extension cords (household and industrial)
- Power boards
- New pillows
- New sheets (all sizes)
Donations can be dropped off to the Penrith Men’s Shed on Saturday 13th of June from 9am till 1pm. 11 Morello Terrace, Caddens.
