Coles have joined Woolworths in creating an essentials box for those who most need it: the Coles Community Box.
Delivered direct to homes in two packages by Australia Post, the Coles Community Box contains grocery items and household items for healthy meals and snacks, plus some everyday essentials.
What’s in the box
The box contains nutritious items for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with the total calorific content of the box enough to support two people aged 65+ for 7 days. Household essentials are included too, to ensure they’re supporting customers who currently find it difficult to shop in their stores.
Breakfast
- Long-life Milk 2L
- Fruit Juice 2L
- Oats or Cereal (e.g. Weet-Bix) min. 375g
- Spread (e.g. jam, Vegemite) min. 375g
- Cereal bars (or dried fruits) x4 (min. 100g each)
Lunch and dinner
- Pasta or Rice 1kg
- Canned Vegetables (e.g. beans, legumes, pulses) x 6 (approx. 400g each)
- Canned soup and meals x 4 (approx. 400g each)
- Canned Fish or Meat x2 (approx. 200g each)
- Canned Fruit (approx. 400g)
- Baked Beans (or similar) x2 (min. 420g each)
- Tortilla Wraps x1 (8 units)
Snacks
- Tea (min. 50 bags) or Instant Coffee (min. 100g)
- Biscuits (e.g. wafers, snacks) min. 175g
Household essentials
- Toilet Paper min. 4-pack

Will the contents always be the same?
Coles will do their very best to get these items to you, but they may vary according to supply. If an item is substituted, it will always be of a similar quality and value.
Who can order the Coles Community Box?
The Coles Community Box will be available to all eligible Coles Online Priority Service (COPS) customers, as Coles’ priority right now is helping their most vulnerable customers and giving them access to grocery items and everyday essentials.
Over the next few days, eligible COPS customers will be able to register their interest in ordering a box. When the Coles Community Box delivery service is ready, eligible customers will receive an SMS link to purchase the box from Coles and have it delivered to their door via Australia Post.
