You asked, we answered.
Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about Vintage FM.
Which Frequency should I use?
88.7FM in Camden/Wollondilly
Is Vintage FM a Community Station?
No, Vintage FM is a ‘Narrowcast’ station.
Narrowcast stations are designed to cater for niche formats – like playing 60’s & 70’s music! Unlike community radio stations, we rely on advertising to fund our station.
Who listens to Vintage FM?
Anyone who enjoys music from the 1960’s, 1970’s and 1980’s!
I don’t live in your FM broadcast area, can I still listen?
Yes! Although our FM broadcast area is in Western Sydney, we are aware that there are people all over the world tuning in. You can listen to us through our website, the Vintage FM app, Radio apps like TuneIn, websites like ‘Online Radio Box’ and so many more. If you have an Internet radio, you should also be able to tune into us too.
If you own a Google Smart Speaker you can ask it to “Play Vintage FM on Tune-In”. Amazon Alexa Smart Speaker owners will need to download the skill, but can ask Alexa to “Open Vintage FM”.

We are now available on iHeartRadio! Stream us on the iHeartRadio app or website!
Why do your Frequencies sometimes pick up other stations?
On the edge of our broadcast area you may sometimes hear another station. This is because in other areas, the frequencies belong to other stations. When another station’s broadcast area border meets ours, there can be a change in what you hear.
Will you ever expand your FM transmission to a broader area?
We are always looking for ways to strengthen our signal and bring Vintage FM to more people’s radios. Never say never.
Why can’t I find Vintage FM on my Digital Radio?
At this stage Vintage FM is unavailable on digital radio. It is something we are looking to expand to in the future.
Do you talk about the News?
We like to keep a ‘less talk, more music’ focus, which is why you only hear from our announcers a few times an hour.
Thanks to Air News, you’ll hear news updates at 6am, 8am and 4pm weekdays and headlines at 7am, 9am, 5pm, 6pm and 7pm. On weekends and public holidays, youll hear news updates at 8am, 10am and 5pm.
