We’ve all heard of Schoolies, but why should teenagers be the only ones who get to have a week-long fun holiday? BIG4 Great Lakes have added some sophistication (and a few decades to the age range) to the traditional celebration, launching their 3rd annual ‘Silver Schoolies’ week, beginning July 29, 2019.
Set in the beautiful location of Tuncurry – about 3.5 hours drive north from Penrith or the Hawkesbury, and 4 hours from Camden or Springwood – BIG4 Great Lakes Forster Tuncurry Holiday Park is just like a tropical oasis on a stunning and tranquil waterfront location.
With accomodation options ranging from bring-your-own Caravan and Camping plots to large 3 bedroom lake front Villas, plus pet friendly and accessible options, This is a holiday destination everyone can enjoy.

Where did the idea for Silver Schoolies come from?
We host weekly sausage sizzles for our guests in the park and found the community and crowd at these events contagious. This sparked the idea to create a week long of events that encourage campers to interact with each other and have a fun time.
Who can attend Silver Schoolies?
Anyone who wants to attend can! Whist the event is designed to suit the grey nomad traveller, we are open to anyone who is keen on having a good time.
Do I have to stay for the whole week?
You don’t have to stay for the week, but you will not want to leave early and get FOMO (Fear of Missing Out). Our bookings are all charged at a nightly rate, so you only pay for the amount of nights you wish to stay.
Is it true that Big4 Great Lakes have Pet Friendly Accomodation options?
Absolutely! We let you bring your pet along on all of our sites, and even have a range of accommodation designed to have indoor pets (You must pre arrange this option with staff when booking).
What has been the highlight in previous years?
