Penrith City Council is providing a free bike, e-bike, and scooter collection for residents wishing to dispose of unwanted or unused bicycles responsibly.
Saturday Nov 1 at the Kingsway Playing Fields from 9am to 12pm
If your bike requires maintenance—such as a flat tyre, or servicing of the brakes or chain—expert mechanics will be on hand to provide a complimentary tune-up.
Please note that booking a timeslot is required for tune-ups only.
Bikes are more than just rides – they’re valuable resources!
Council’s free Bike Tune-Up and Drop-Off Event is your chance to give bikes a second life.
Book a 15-minute Tune-Up to get back on your bike this summer—note, only bicycles can be repaired; e-bikes and scooters aren’t included.
Bookings are essential for Tune-Ups, visit Humanitix
then search Penrith Recycle Your Bike Tune Up
Don’t need your bike anymore? Donate it, you don’t need a booking.
Repairable bikes may be sold at affordable prices or donated to underprivileged children. Unrepairable bikes won’t go to waste—they’ll be dismantled, with parts reused for other bikes, playground equipment, bike lanes, and asphalt.
