Creating Canopies – Schoolhouse Creek
June 9 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
A tree planting day will be held at School House Creek on Wednesday 9th June – 6 Martin St, Regentville from 9am
Planting trees is a great way to restore habitat and support the significant vegetation which provide an important wildlife corridor for small birds, frogs and other native animals to travel through. It’ll also help to conserve critically endangered Cumberland Plain Woodland in Western Sydney.
On-site training, tools and refreshments will be provided.
It’s advised participants wear long sleeves, long pants and closed sturdy shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen and a bottle of water along. Please bring your own gardening gloves along, too.
Bookings are essential. As part of the event’s COVID safe plan, the number of participants is restricted.
If you are under 16 years old, you must be accompanied by an adult.
Register at Eventbrite.
This event is part of the Creating Canopies in Greater Sydney tree planting project. Funding has been provided to Greater Sydney Landcare Network and Landcare NSW as part of the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) Premier Project, Greening our City. We will be planting thousands of trees for habitat and shade over the next two years.
